CREATE IT YOURSELF PRODUCTIVE DECOR FOR A HOME OFFICE
21 June 2013

Having to bring some work home – but can’t seem to find the inspiration to be productive? Sometimes all you need is a little bit of colour to bring those inspirations to life!

The right colour for the right mood

Picking the right colour(s) for a study/home office will be very important to determine the kind of mood & setting you are trying to accomplish. Orange is a great colour for creativity, however – this can be too stark/harsh for a study feature wall. Another option that promotes high energy & productivity is yellow or green (which can be calming & soothing too).

Colour matching office supplies

Pair your extra office supplies with your new wall. Compliment with matching colours. For more complicated pieces (Like office folders)– you can apply a coat of colour with airbrush spray.

Here’s a Step-by-Step guide to achieve this:

Complementary Décor Tips
  • Use environmentally friendly paints and even explore added benefits of cleaner air – for a conducive environment. Nippon Odour~less AirCare is good choice for this purpose.
  • Other colours produce different moods – for a cooler, calming feel – try blues and purples.
